Xiaomi’s sub-brand Redmi is all set to launch the Redmi Note 15 SE in India on April 2, 2026.

This new phone is a special edition of the Redmi Note 15 5G, which was released earlier in January.

Until now, many buyers were confused about the differences between the two models.

Redmi has now clarified what sets the SE version apart.

Bigger Battery and Fast Charging

The Redmi Note 15 SE 5G will come with a 5800mAh battery, which is larger than the 5520mAh battery of the regular Redmi Note 15 5G.

It also supports 45W fast charging, making it quicker to recharge.

Redmi claims this battery will last up to 44 hours on a single charge and has a 5-year lifespan.

This makes the SE model ideal for users who need long-lasting performance without frequent charging.

Camera and Performance Upgrades

The Redmi Note 15 SE 5G will feature a 50MP rear camera capable of 4K video recording, while the original Note 15 5G has a 108MP + 8MP dual rear camera setup.

Both phones will have a 20MP front camera for selfies and video calls.

Performance-wise, the SE model is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 octa-core processor, the same as the Note 15 5G.

This chip is built on a 4nm process and can reach 2.4GHz, offering 10% better GPU performance and 30% faster CPU performance compared to the previous generation.

Redmi promises 48 months of smooth, lag-free performance.

Design, Display, and Colors

The Redmi Note 15 SE 5G will feature a curved AMOLED display and will be available in Carbon Black, Frosted White, and Crimson Reserve.

Its thickness varies slightly between colors, from 7.35mm to 7.82mm.

Pricing Expectations

The original Redmi Note 15 5G is priced at ₹22,999 for the 8GB + 128GB variant and ₹24,999 for the 8GB + 256GB variant.

The Redmi Note 15 SE 5G is expected to be priced around ₹20,000, but the exact price will be revealed on launch day, April 2.
