The Bihar government is stepping up efforts to promote self-employment in the state.
To support aspiring entrepreneurs, special loan camps will be organised across Bihar from February 6 to March 12.
These camps will help people get quick approval of business loans under various government schemes.
According to officials, around 2.5 lakh people are expected to benefit from this initiative.
Loans to Be Approved on the Spot
The camps are being organised by the Industries Department to speed up the loan process.
Applications will be checked at the camps themselves, and eligible applicants will receive immediate loan approvals.
This move is aimed at removing delays and making self-employment easier.
Camps will be held in all districts of Bihar.

Several key officials will be available at the camps to assist applicants, including:
District administration officials
Industries Department officers
Jeevika group representatives
Senior bank officials
Their role will be to ensure that eligible applicants complete formalities quickly and receive loans without unnecessary delays.
Major Schemes Offering Loans and Subsidies
PM Employment Generation Programme (PMEGP)
Under the PMEGP scheme, youth can start businesses in urban or rural areas.
Loan amount: Up to ₹50 lakh
Subsidy: Up to 35 percent
Extra benefits for women, persons with disabilities, and SC/ST/OBC categories
This scheme is mainly for micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs).
PM Vishwakarma Yojana
This scheme is focused on traditional artisans.
Benefits include:
Free toolkit worth up to ₹15,000
Daily allowance of ₹500 during training
Loan up to ₹3 lakh after training
The aim is to improve skills and support traditional occupations.
PM Micro Food Industry Upgradation Scheme (PMFME)
This scheme supports those looking to start food processing units.
Eligibility: Minimum 8th pass
Government loan with credit-linked subsidy up to ₹10 lakh
It is ideal for people planning to set up small food-related businesses.
