The Chief Minister’s Youth Self-Employment Scheme launched by the Rajasthan government is receiving an overwhelming response.
Within just 10 days of opening applications, more than 5,000 youth have applied.
The scheme aims to support one lakh young people in the state by helping them start their own businesses.
Interest-Free Loans Up to ₹10 Lakh for New Businesses
Under this scheme, eligible youth can get interest-free loans of up to ₹10 lakh to set up micro-enterprises in the manufacturing, service, and trade sectors.
The state government will bear the entire interest cost.
In addition, applicants will also receive:
Reimbursement of margin money
Coverage of the CGTMSE guarantee fee
The scheme was launched on January 12, and official guidelines were issued on January 15. Applications opened on January 22.
According to Industry and Commerce Commissioner Suresh Kumar Ola, the response clearly shows the growing interest of youth in self-employment.
Jaipur Leads as Applications Pour in From Districts
So far, 5,089 applications have been received from across Rajasthan.
Jaipur district recorded the highest number with 385 applications.
Several other districts have also shown strong participation.
Districts with more than 200 applications include:
Churu
Bikaner
Tonk
Hanumangarh
Many districts such as Bundi, Sikar, Sri Ganganagar, Jodhpur, Dausa, Jhunjhunu, Nagaur, Bhilwara, Ajmer, and Alwar received over 100 applications, reflecting widespread awareness of the scheme.
How to Apply for the Youth Self-Employment Scheme
Eligible youth can apply online using:
SSO ID
e-Mitra portal
Documents required include:
Aadhaar card
Domicile certificate
Applicant photograph
Educational and technical qualification certificates
Proof of more than 51 percent ownership for institutional applications
Once submitted, applications will be verified by district-level officials and forwarded to banks for loan approval and disbursement.
Loan Amount and Benefits Based on Education
The benefits under the scheme depend on the applicant’s educational qualification.
Applicants who have passed Class 8 to 12 are eligible for:
Up to ₹3.5 lakh for service and trade sectors
Up to ₹7.5 lakh for manufacturing
Margin money support of up to ₹35,000
Applicants with graduate, ITI, or higher qualifications can get:
Up to ₹5 lakh for service and trade sectors
Up to ₹10 lakh for manufacturing
Margin money support of up to ₹50,000
