Is your name still on the ration card list, or has it suddenly disappeared? If you are receiving free ration under the Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Anna Yojana (PMGKAY), this update is very important for you.
The Bihar government has started a large-scale verification drive of ration card beneficiaries, and many names have already been removed.
So far, around 52.22 lakh beneficiaries have been deleted from the list.
The Food and Supplies Department has verified nearly 6 crore ration card holders across the state.
Anyone found ineligible during this process is being removed.
Aadhaar eKYC Is Mandatory
The state government has clearly instructed all ration card holders to complete Aadhaar seeding (eKYC) at the earliest.
The goal is to achieve 100% eKYC verification.
If your eKYC is not completed, you may be treated as ineligible.
This means your name can be removed from the ration card list, and you may stop receiving free ration benefits.
To avoid this, completing eKYC as soon as possible is essential.
How to Check the Ration Card Village List Online
If you are worried that your name might have been removed, you can easily check the ration card list online.
You can view not only your own details but also the list of beneficiaries in your entire village.
First, visit the official Bihar ration card portal:
On the homepage, click on RCMC Report.
Now select your district.
You will see separate options for rural and urban beneficiaries.
Choose the one that applies to you.
If you live in a rural area, click on the rural option.
Next, select your block.
After this, choose your Panchayat from the list.
Then select your village.
Once you complete these steps, a complete list of all ration card beneficiaries in your village will appear.
Click on your ration card number to see full details.
How to Check Your Ration Card Details Directly
If you only want to check your own ration card information, there is a simpler option.
On the same website, click on RC Detail.
Select Rural or Urban, depending on your area.
Choose your district.
Enter your ration card number, and your full details will be displayed on the screen.
Urban beneficiaries should note one important point.
Urban ration cards have 21 digits, but the website accepts only 20 digits.
In this case, enter your ration card number without the 9th digit.
Checking your ration card status regularly and completing eKYC on time can help you avoid losing your benefits.
