According to a report by Dainik Jagran, this system was implemented two days ago. The main aim of this move is to increase transparency and reduce corruption in the registration process.
Government Implements Digital System Across Uttar Pradesh
This decision is now fully in effect. After successfully testing the system through a pilot project in four districts, the Uttar Pradesh government under Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has rolled it out across the entire state, including Noida.
Due to this change, nearly 95% of property registration fees in Noida are now being paid online during registration.
Earlier, registration fees were paid in cash. Since the launch of the new system, a total of 1,138 property documents, leases, and agreements have been registered.
With this update, the registration fee process at registry offices has become completely digital.
Technical Issues Faced During Initial Days
The new system was launched on Monday earlier this week but faced technical problems on the Treasury portal.
On the first day, 572 registrations were completed, while similar issues continued on the second day, resulting in only 566 registrations of property documents, leases, and agreements.
AIG Arun Kumar Sharma explained that the system was introduced to improve transparency. He also confirmed that technical issues affected the website on the first day.
With this digital system, registration fees will now be deposited directly into the treasury, making administrative work easier for the department.
