Meta-owned WhatsApp has launched a very useful new feature for its users.
Now, if someone doesn’t answer your call, you can leave a voice or video message directly from the call screen.
This update is already available on the App Store for iPhone users and will soon roll out to other devices.
Send Instant Voice Messages on Missed Calls
According to WABetaInfo, WhatsApp now shows a ‘Record voice message’ option when your call goes unanswered.
You can record a short audio message right there, and it will be sent automatically to the chat along with the missed call notification.
This feature helps users quickly share important information without typing.
Send Video Messages After Missed Video Calls
WhatsApp has also added the same feature for video calls. If someone doesn’t answer your video call, you can instantly record a short video message.
This makes communication more personal, as the receiver gets both the missed call alert and a visual explanation of why you called.
Redesigned Calls Tab and New Call Features
WhatsApp has completely redesigned the Calls tab with a new layout called the “Unified Call Hub.”
It brings all call-related functions—such as viewing contacts, managing favorites, and creating call groups—into one place.
You can start one-on-one or group calls with up to 31 people in just one tap, making calling faster and easier.
WhatsApp Adds Call Scheduling for the First Time
For the first time, WhatsApp has introduced a call scheduling feature. You can now schedule a voice or video call for a specific time and date,
and send the event notification directly in the chat. All participants will receive alerts, helping you avoid missing important meetings, family calls, or group discussions.
Global Rollout Underway
The update is being gradually released to users worldwide. Once everything is stable, it will be available on all devices.
With these new additions, WhatsApp aims to make communication simpler, faster, and more flexible than ever before.
