Apple is all set to launch a new MacBook Air soon. CEO Tim Cook teased the upcoming device with a post on X, sharing a short video with the words, “There’s something in the air.”
He also added “this week” in the caption, making it clear that a new product launch is imminent. Reports suggest this could be the MacBook Air with the powerful M4 chip.
MacBook Air M4 – What’s Special?
Apple has been working on the new MacBook Air for a while. Tech journalist Mark Gurman from Bloomberg had earlier predicted that Apple might release it in early March. Now, Tim Cook’s teaser has made this possibility even stronger.
This time, the MacBook Air is expected to come in two sizes: 13-inch and 15-inch. It will feature Apple’s latest M4 chip, promising significant improvements in performance and battery life.
Reports also suggest the device will include a Thunderbolt 4 port, a 12MP Center Stage webcam, and better battery backup.
Apple might also increase the RAM capacity in this model. While the M3 MacBook Air had a maximum RAM of 24GB, the new M4 MacBook Air is rumored to start at 16GB and go up to 32GB, delivering smoother and more powerful performance.
A Hint at the MacBook Air Name?
Apple first used the tagline “There’s something in the air” in 2008 when it launched the original MacBook Air.
Now, after all these years, bringing back the same phrase strongly hints at the arrival of a new MacBook Air.
What Else is Apple Launching This Month?
Along with the MacBook Air, Apple is also preparing to launch new models of the iPad Air and iPad 11.
According to reports, these new iPads will be launched separately, possibly in late March or early April.
The iPad Air may come with either the M3 or M4 chip.
The iPad 11 is expected to feature the A16 Bionic or A17 Pro chip.
No major design changes are expected for the new iPads.
Earlier, it was rumored that Apple would launch the MacBook Air and iPads together, but new reports suggest the MacBook Air will arrive first, with the iPads following a few weeks later.
These upcoming Apple devices are expected to bring major upgrades for tech lovers. Now, all eyes are on the official announcement, which could happen any day!
