Air India has launched a direct daily flight service between Vijayawada International Airport and Mumbai, providing a convenient travel option for flyers.
Inaugural Ceremony and Significance
The inaugural flight ceremony on June 15 featured local Members of Parliament and included a traditional water cannon salute at Vijayawada International Airport.
M. Lakshmikantha Reddy, Director of the airport, highlighted the importance of this new service, calling it a significant milestone for the airport.
He also hinted at future plans for another Air India service connecting Vijayawada to Bengaluru, expected to launch next month.
Flight Schedule and Aircraft Details
The new service operates with an Airbus A-320 aircraft, accommodating up to 180 passengers. Here are the flight schedule details:
Departure from Mumbai: 3:55 pm
Arrival in Vijayawada: 5:45 pm
Departure from Vijayawada: 7:10 pm
Arrival in Mumbai: 9:00 pm
This direct daily flight aims to streamline travel between the two cities, eliminating the need for connecting flights and enhancing passenger convenience.
