Yes Bank increases Interest Rates on Fixed Deposit

Yes Bank, a private sector bank, has announced a new benefit for its customers by revising its Fixed Deposit interest rates.

The changes come just one day before the Union Budget and ahead of the RBI’s upcoming meeting on the repo rate in February. The updated interest rates took effect on January 31, 2025.

 Yes Bank hikes FD Interest Rates

The new interest rates for Fixed Deposits (FD) at Yes Bank range from 3.25% to 7.75% for general customers, and from 3.75% to 8.25% for senior citizens.

The highest interest rate of 7.75% for general customers and 8.25% for senior citizens is being offered on 18-month FDs. These rates apply to FDs up to Rs 3 crore.

Yes Bank FD Rules

To start an FD, the minimum amount required is Rs 10,000. Senior citizens receive an additional 0.50% interest on FDs under 3 years compared to general customers.

For FDs of 3 years or more, senior citizens get an extra 0.75% interest. These rates apply to FDs up to Rs 5 crore.

15 to 45 days: 3.70% (general public) / 4.20% (senior citizens)

46 to 90 days: 5.00% (general public) / 4.60% (senior citizens)

91 to 120 days: 5.00% (general public) / 5.25% (senior citizens)

121 to 180 days: 5.00% (general public) / 5.50% (senior citizens)

181 to 271 days: 6.25% (general public) / 6.75% (senior citizens)

272 days to less than 1 year: 6.50% (general public) / 7.00% (senior citizens)

1 year: 7.75% (general public) / 8.25% (senior citizens)

1 year to less than 18 months: 7.75% (general public) / 8.25% (senior citizens)

18 months: 8.00% (general public) / 8.50% (senior citizens)

18 months to less than 24 months: 7.75% (general public) / 8.25% (senior citizens)

24 months to less than 36 months: 7.25% (general public) / 7.75% (senior citizens)

36 to 60 months: 7.25% (general public) / 8.00% (senior citizens)

60 months: 7.25% (general public) / 8.00% (senior citizens)

60 months 1 day to 120 months: 7.00% (general public) / 7.75% (senior citizens)
