X Increases Premium Plan Prices in India

Elon Musk’s company, X, has raised the prices of its Premium+ plans in India. Starting December 21, users will have to pay up to 35% more for these plans.

Updated Prices for Premium+ Plans

Premium+ users in India will now need to pay ₹1,750 per month, compared to the earlier price of ₹1,300.

Similarly, the annual plan has gone up from ₹13,600 to ₹18,300. X has cited three main reasons for this price hike:

No Ads: Premium+ users will no longer see advertisements on the platform.

Better Support for Content Creators: More financial support will be provided to content creators.

New Features: Users will gain access to additional features aimed at enhancing their experience.

Company Explains the Benefits of Premium+

X emphasized that the increased prices come with significant benefits for Premium+ subscribers.

Users will enjoy new features like ‘Radar’ and improved access to advanced AI models. The company said that the price adjustment aims to make Premium+ even better.

Additionally, the company stated, “Your subscription directly supports content creators on our platform.

We’ve changed our payment system to consider not just ad impressions but also the quality and engagement level of the content.”

Furthermore, X emphasized that the increased subscription fees will directly benefit content creators.

The company will now assess payments based on user engagement, such as how much people like the content, rather than just how many ads are shown.
