WhatsApp has rolled out a fresh update, bringing several exciting features to enhance your messaging experience.
Among the new additions are the ability to create stickers using your phone’s camera, new camera effects for selfies, the option to share sticker packs,
and quick ways to respond to messages. Here’s a detailed look at these updates:
Camera Effects and New Features
The latest update includes new camera effects, available on both Android (version 2.25.1.72) and iOS (version 24.25.79).
These features, however, are not yet available on the web and desktop versions.
WhatsApp has also expanded its camera effects for video calls, adding over 30 new options such as background blue, face filters,
and emojis. To access these effects, tap the new filter button when using the camera in WhatsApp.
Create Stickers and Share Packs
A fun new feature lets you create your own stickers using either the front or rear camera. Just go to Stickers > Create > Camera to take a photo that will be turned into a sticker.
You can personalize it with text, emojis, and other elements before saving and sharing it. This feature is currently available only on Android but will be available on iOS soon.
Additionally, WhatsApp has added a new option to share entire sticker packs directly in chats.
Simply open a sticker pack, tap the share button, and send it as a link. The recipient can add it to their collection by clicking the link.
Faster Reactions to Messages
WhatsApp has also made it quicker to react to messages. Instead of long-pressing on a message, you can now double-tap it to bring up the reaction options. This works in both individual and group chats.
Some users may not see these features right away, even with the latest version of the app. If this happens, clearing the app’s cache or waiting for the next update may help.
