Vodafone Idea (Vi) has introduced a new prepaid recharge plan that could be useful for customers who want long validity and unlimited data without recharging every few weeks.
Priced at Rs 1,750, the plan comes with 150 days of validity.
It also offers unlimited 4G and 5G data, along with calling and SMS benefits.
However, there is one important catch: the plan is currently available only in select telecom circles.
Where Is the New Vi Plan Available?
The Rs 1,750 prepaid plan is currently available in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, Bihar, Karnataka, Madhya Pradesh and Rajasthan.
Vi may expand the plan to more locations in the future, but there is no nationwide availability at present.
For users who regularly consume large amounts of mobile data for streaming, online classes, gaming or other activities, the plan could be an attractive option.
Customers with 5G-enabled smartphones can use unlimited 5G data wherever Vi’s 5G network is available.
Users without 5G access will continue to get unlimited 4G data under the plan.
Unlimited Calls and 100 SMS Every Day
The plan is not limited to data benefits.
Customers also get unlimited voice calling and 100 SMS per day throughout the 150-day validity period.
At Rs 1,750 for 150 days, the effective cost comes to around Rs 11.67 per day.
For users who want a single recharge that covers data, calls and SMS for several months, this could be a convenient option.
How Does It Compare With Vi’s Rs 1,749 Plan?
Vi also offers an existing Rs 1,749 prepaid plan in some circles, including Andhra Pradesh and Telangana.
That plan comes with 180 days of validity, 1.5GB of high-speed data per day, unlimited 5G data in eligible coverage areas, unlimited calls and 100 SMS per day.
This makes the two plans quite different.
The new Rs 1,750 plan focuses on unlimited data for 150 days, while the Rs 1,749 plan offers daily high-speed data with a longer 180-day validity.
Customers can therefore choose between the two based on their data usage and preferred validity period.
