The Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025 has kicked off with a big announcement from TVS.
The company has introduced the new Jupiter CNG scooter, marking a significant step in India’s two-wheeler market.
Unlike previous CNG bikes, this scooter can run on both CNG and petrol, making it the first of its kind in the country.
Design and Features of TVS Jupiter CNG
The design of the TVS Jupiter CNG is similar to the 125cc petrol model, but it has been specially modified to support CNG usage. The scooter features a 1.4 kg CNG tank and a 2-liter petrol tank.
In terms of features, the scooter includes LED headlights, a USB charger, stand cut-off, and Bluetooth connectivity, focusing on eco-friendliness and fuel efficiency.
Performance and Mileage of Jupiter CNG
The company claims that the TVS Jupiter CNG will offer a mileage of 84 km per 1 kg of CNG. With a full tank, the scooter can cover up to 226 km.
The powertrain of the scooter consists of a 125 cc bio-fuel engine, producing 5.3 kW of power at 600 rpm and a torque of 9.4 Nm at 5500 rpm.
Expected Price Range for TVS Jupiter CNG
The price of the petrol-powered TVS Jupiter 125 is between Rs 88,174 and Rs 99,015.
The new CNG version is expected to be priced similarly, likely ranging from Rs 90,000 to Rs 99,000. However, the CNG tank might slightly reduce the boot space in the scooter.
