Train Services Suspended between Delhi and Shahdara Today

Passengers travelling through Old Delhi (Delhi Junction) and Delhi Shahdara on Independence Day, August 15, should check their train status before leaving for the station.

Northern Railway has announced several temporary changes to train services because of security arrangements for the Independence Day ceremony.

Train movement between Delhi Junction and Delhi Shahdara Junction will remain suspended from 6:45 am to 9:00 am on August 15.

This will affect several trains through cancellations, diversions, changes in originating or terminating stations and revised departure timings.

These Trains Will Remain Cancelled

The following services have been temporarily cancelled:

74021 Delhi Jn-Saharanpur Jn DMU

74024 Saharanpur Jn-Delhi Jn DMU

64417 Ghaziabad-Delhi Jn MEMU

54058 Shamli-Delhi Jn Passenger

Passengers using these services should make alternative travel arrangements.

These Trains Will Run on Diverted Routes

Four trains will operate through alternative routes on August 15.

64002 Delhi Jn-Shahdara EMU: New Delhi-Tilak Bridge-Sahibabad

64111 Khurja Jn-Shakurbasti EMU: Sahibabad-Delhi Shahdara B Panel-Tilak Bridge-New Delhi-Delhi Kishanganj

64414 Delhi Jn-Ghaziabad EMU: New Delhi-Tilak Bridge-Sahibabad

64567 Bulandshahr-Tilak Bridge MEMU: Sahibabad-Delhi Shahdara B Panel-Tilak Bridge

These diversions apply to the trains originating on August 15.

Some Trains Will Start or End at Different Stations

Northern Railway has also changed the originating or terminating stations for six services.

64402 Delhi Jn-Shahdara EMU: Will start from New Delhi instead of Delhi Junction.

64022 Saharanpur-Delhi Jn MEMU: Will terminate at Delhi Shahdara.

64437 Ghaziabad-Delhi Jn EMU: Will terminate at New Delhi.

64025 Delhi Jn-Shamli MEMU: Will start from Ghaziabad and remain cancelled between Delhi Junction and Delhi Shahdara.

64152 Delhi Jn-Aligarh Jn MEMU: Will start from Ghaziabad and remain cancelled between Delhi Junction and Ghaziabad.

64558 Haridwar-Delhi Jn MEMU: Will terminate at Delhi Shahdara.

These changes are applicable to trains originating on August 15.

Three Trains to Be Held for Security Clearance

Some trains will also be temporarily regulated because of the security arrangements.

18310 Jammu Tawi-Sambalpur Jn Express: Will be regulated at Delhi Junction.

12379 Sealdah-Amritsar Jalianwala Bagh Express: Will be regulated at Delhi Shahdara.

15910 Lalgarh Jn-Dibrugarh Avadh Assam Express: Will be regulated at Delhi Junction.

These trains will be regulated until the required security clearance is given.

Five Trains to Depart Later Than Scheduled

Northern Railway has also changed the departure times of five trains.

Check Train Status Before Leaving Home

These temporary changes have been introduced due to the Independence Day ceremony and related security arrangements.

If you are travelling through Delhi Junction or Delhi Shahdara on August 15, it is advisable to check the latest train status before heading to the station.

Passengers should also allow extra travel time, as diversions, temporary halts and changes in boarding or terminating stations could affect their journey.
