If you are planning to start your own business, this could be a great opportunity for you.
The National Capital Region Transport Corporation (NCRTC) is now offering commercial spaces at the Sarai Kale Khan Namo Bharat Station for businesses.
The corporation has invited bids for shops and commercial outlets located on the ground floor of the station. This move is expected to attract many small business owners and brands looking for a prime location in Delhi.
Shops and Cafes to Open at the Station
According to NCRTC, around 818 square meters of commercial space is available across eight different locations on the station’s ground floor. These spaces will be given on license for a period ranging from 9 to 15 years.
The commercial areas will mainly be used for passenger convenience. Several food and beverage outlets, cafes, retail stores, and service centers are expected to open at the station in the coming months.
Why Sarai Kale Khan Station Is Important
Sarai Kale Khan is one of the biggest stations on the Delhi-Meerut Namo Bharat Corridor. The station is being developed as a major transport hub that connects different modes of travel in the city.
It is linked with the Hazrat Nizamuddin Railway Station, Veer Hakikat Rai Interstate Bus Terminal, Delhi Metro’s Pink Line, and the Ring Road.
A 280-meter-long foot overbridge has also been opened to make travel easier for passengers.
Employment Opportunities Likely to Increase
NCRTC says the main aim behind this initiative is to promote business activities and create new employment opportunities.
By allowing vendors and businesses to operate from the station, more jobs and local development are expected.
