State Bank of India launches New Fixed Deposit Schemes

The State Bank of India (SBI) has introduced a new fixed deposit scheme called Amrit Vrishti.

SBI’s special FD savings schemes offer attractive interest rates for both domestic and NRI customers.

Previously, SBI launched SBI Amrit Kalash and SBI WeCare schemes.

The Amrit Kalash Yojana is available to all citizens and senior citizens, while the WeCare scheme is exclusively for senior citizens.

Details of SBI Amrit Kalash

SBI Amrit Kalash Yojana is available for a term of 400 days. It offers an interest rate of 7.10% per annum for general citizens and up to 7.60% for senior citizens.

The last date to invest in this scheme is September 30. These interest rates have been effective since April 12, 2023.

Details of SBI WeCare

SBI WeCare is tailored for senior citizens. It provides an additional 0.50% interest over the regular rates.

This scheme is open for both new deposits and renewals, and will be available until September 30.

Details of SBI Amrit Vrishti Yojana

SBI Amrit Vrishti Yojana has a term of 444 days and offers an interest rate of 7.25%. Senior citizens receive an extra 0.50% interest.

Investors can also get a loan against this deposit. The scheme is valid until March 31, 2025.

Details of SBI Sarvottam Scheme

SBI Sarvottam Scheme is designed for those who deposit large amounts. It offers higher interest rates than regular fixed deposits.

For a 2-year term, the rate is 7.40%, and for a 1-year term, it is 7.10%. Senior citizens receive an additional 0.50% interest.

The Sarvottam (non-callable) option is available for deposits ranging from Rs 1 crore to Rs 3 crore.

Details of SBI Green Rupee Term Deposit

SBI has also launched the Green Rupee Term Deposit Scheme to support environment-friendly projects.

It offers a 6.65% interest rate for terms of 1111 or 1777 days and a 6.40% rate for 2222 days.

Senior citizens can earn up to 7.40% interest. There is no deadline for investing in this scheme.
