SBI Cards Rule Change: No Reward Points for Government Transactions from July 15

SBI Cards has announced a significant change effective from July 15, 2024. Reward points will no longer accrue on government-related transactions for certain credit cards, identified under Merchant Category Codes (MCC) 9399 and 9311.

The following SBI credit cards will no longer earn reward points on government-related transactions:

Changes in Other Bank Card Policies

ICICI Bank:

Starting July 1, 2024, ICICI Bank will increase the card replacement fee from Rs 100 to Rs 200 for all cards. Exceptions include:

Rs 3500 for Emeralde Private Metal Credit Card.

Rs 199 for ICICI Bank Expressions Credit Card.

PNB Rupay Platinum Debit Card:

From July 1, 2024, lounge access benefits will be revised to:

One domestic airport/railway lounge access per quarter.

Two international airport lounge accesses per annum.

Axis Bank:

Axis Bank has announced that the migration of Citi-branded cards to Axis Bank cards will be completed by July 15, 2024.

Customers will continue to use their Citi-branded cards until they receive their new Axis Bank cards post-migration.
