The State Bank of India’s (SBI) special FD scheme, called Amrit Kalash, is nearing its end. This scheme, which lasts for 400 days, offers a maximum interest rate of 7.60%.
However, it will close on September 30, 2024. The scheme has been extended several times due to its popularity since it was first launched on April 12, 2023.
Multiple Extensions of the Amrit Kalash Scheme
SBI has extended the deadline for the Amrit Kalash FD scheme multiple times. Initially, the deadline was extended to December 31, 2023, in June 2023.
Later, the bank pushed it to March 31, 2024, and once again extended it to September 30, 2024.
Attractive Interest Rates and How to Apply
Under the Amrit Kalash FD scheme, general customers can earn up to 7.10% interest, while senior citizens can receive an additional 50 basis points, bringing their interest rate to 7.60%.
Customers can deposit up to Rs 2 crore under this scheme.
To open an account, you can visit any SBI branch with your Aadhar card, PAN card, passport-size photo, mobile number,
and email ID. You will be provided with a form to fill out, and once completed, your account will be opened.
