The Rajasthan government has launched the Rajasthan Investment Promotion Scheme (RIPS-2024) to encourage investment in the state.
This initiative comes ahead of the ‘Rising Rajasthan’ Global Investment Summit-2024, scheduled to take place in the capital, Jaipur.
Officials state that RIPS-2024 builds on the earlier RIPS-2022 and provides financial incentives to support the growth of industries in various sectors.
Key Focus Areas and New Sectors
Ajitabh Sharma, the Principal Secretary of Industry, mentioned that RIPS-2024 aims to include new and emerging sectors along with key manufacturing and service industries.
The scheme has also increased incentives for tourism businesses, information technology (IT) and IT-enabled services (ITES), and women-led startups.

Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma recently announced that Rajasthan has signed Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) worth Rs 15 lakh crore for investments related to the ‘Rising Rajasthan’ Global Investment Summit-2024, which will be held in Jaipur from December 9 to 11.
New sectors added to the policy include air and space, defense, drones, semiconductors, agro-technology, and waste recycling.
