Punjab National Bank to Freeze Accounts After August 8 (Update KYC)

PNB Bank Alert: If you have a bank account with Punjab National Bank (PNB), then this is important for you.

PNB has asked all customers whose KYC (Know Your Customer) is pending to complete the update by August 8, 2025. If the KYC update is not done by this date, the bank may freeze your account.

Customers who were required to update their KYC by June 30, 2025, have been given time till August 8 to complete the process. If not done, transactions will be blocked.

What Happens If KYC Is Not Updated?

The bank has clearly said that accounts will be temporarily frozen if KYC is not updated in time. This means you won’t be able to deposit or withdraw money. To avoid this, update your KYC by the deadline.

You will need to submit:

• Identity proof

• Address proof

How to Update KYC?

Here are the ways to update your KYC with PNB:

1. Visit the Branch:
   Go to your nearest PNB branch with identity proof, address proof, recent photo, PAN/Form 60, income proof, and mobile number (if not given earlier).

2. PNB ONE App:
   Use the app to update your KYC online from home.

3. Internet Banking:
   Login to PNB’s online banking, go to the KYC Update section, and follow the steps.

4. Send by Email or Post:
   You can also send your KYC documents to your home branch via registered email or by post.

What Will Happen If You Miss the Deadline?

If KYC is not updated by August 8, 2025, your bank account will be temporarily blocked. You won’t be able to make any transactions until the update is done.
