Punjab National Bank (PNB) has issued an important notification for its customers with dormant accounts. If you have not used your account for a long time, you need to act fast to keep it active.
Deadline for Keeping Dormant Accounts Active
PNB has informed its customers that they have until June 30, 2024, to complete their Know Your Customer (KYC) process.
If you fail to do so, your account may be closed on July 1, 2024.
Notices have been sent to customers.
All customers who have not made any transactions in the last three years or whose account balance has been zero for the same period.
Steps to Reactivate Your Account
Check Your Account Status
Ensure your account is not among those to be closed.
Complete KYC
Visit your nearest PNB branch and fill out the KYC form. Attach the necessary documents to reactivate your account.
Deadline
Ensure these steps are completed by June 30, 2024, to prevent account closure on July 1, 2024.
PNB has taken this step to prevent misuse of dormant accounts by scammers.
The bank’s notification specifies that the account review is based on the status as of April 30, 2024.
