PNB 666-Day FD offers an interest rate of 6.50% per annum to general customers on domestic fixed deposits below Rs 3 crore, according to Punjab National Bank’s latest published rate table.

Senior citizens can earn 7.00%, while super senior citizens are eligible for 7.30%.

The 666-day tenure is one of the specific deposit periods listed by PNB under its domestic term deposit rates. The applicable rates were revised with effect from June 1, 2026.

PNB 666-Day FD Interest Rate

For deposits below Rs 3 crore, PNB currently offers 6.50% per annum on a 666-day fixed deposit for the general public. The rate rises to 7.00% for senior citizens and 7.30% for super senior citizens.

For example, a general customer investing Rs 5 lakh would earn interest based on the applicable deposit calculation and payout option selected.

The actual maturity amount can vary depending on whether interest is paid periodically or compounded and paid at maturity.

The interest calculation on PNB deposits is based on 365 days a year unless otherwise specified by the bank.

How Much Can You Invest in PNB FD

PNB’s standard domestic term deposit rates listed for deposits below Rs 3 crore cover the 666-day tenure.

The bank also separately publishes rates for deposits of Rs 3 crore and above, meaning the applicable rate depends on the deposit amount and scheme.

For deposits above Rs 1 crore and below Rs 3 crore under the PNB Uttam non-callable fixed deposit scheme, the 666-day rate is 6.60% for the public, 7.10% for senior citizens and 7.40% for super senior citizens.

Investors should therefore check the applicable scheme and deposit slab before booking an FD, as the interest rate may differ from the standard domestic deposit rate.

Senior Citizens Get Higher PNB FD Rates

Senior citizens receive an additional interest benefit on eligible PNB domestic term deposits.

For the 666-day standard deposit, the rate is 7.00%, compared with 6.50% for the general public. Super senior citizens can earn 7.30%.

The higher rate can make the same deposit amount generate more interest over the tenure, although the final return will depend on the investment amount, interest payout method and applicable tax treatment.

PNB 666-Day FD Before You Invest

A fixed deposit locks money for a specified period and provides a predetermined interest rate subject to the bank’s applicable terms.

Investors should check premature withdrawal conditions, interest payout options and taxation before opening the deposit.

PNB offers domestic term deposits across several tenures, ranging from short-term deposits to periods of up to 10 years under its published deposit framework.

The 666-day option is therefore one among several FD choices available to customers, with different rates applying depending on tenure, customer category and deposit scheme.
