PhonePe has launched a new campaign centered around the ongoing Maha Kumbh Mela in Prayagraj.
As part of this campaign, the company has introduced the “Mahakumbh Ka Mahashagun” offer, providing exciting benefits to users visiting Prayagraj for the first time.
Special Rs 144 Cashback Offer
Under the “Mahakumbh Ka Mahashagun” offer, users who make their first transaction in Prayagraj will receive a flat cashback of Rs 144.
This offer is valid until the end of the fair, which runs until February 26. However, the transaction amount must be under Rs 1 to qualify for the cashback.
To promote the campaign, PhonePe is using Maha Kumbh-themed QR codes, banners, posters, and other branding elements throughout the city.
Additionally, a special message has been launched on PhonePe’s smart speakers, offering blessings to attendees with the message “Mahakumbh Ki Shubhkamnaye, Maha Shagun Ke Saath.”
Enhancing Convenience for Devotees
PhonePe’s campaign aims to simplify the experience for the 40 crore devotees expected to visit the Maha Kumbh Mela.
By offering digital payment options, devotees can avoid the hassle of carrying cash to make payments at stalls, stores, or for shagun (gifts).
This initiative will not only make the event more convenient but also help boost the adoption of digital payments across the country, promoting financial inclusion for millions of Indians who do not yet use digital payment methods.
How to Get the Rs 144 Cashback
To avail of the cashback offer, users need to download the PhonePe app on their iOS or Android device. They will then need to link a bank account and set up a UPI PIN.
The cashback will only be available to users in Prayagraj, and location permission must be enabled on the app.
Once these steps are completed, users can make payments using their linked UPI account, and the cashback will appear as a scratch card in the PhonePe app.
