Only THESE Groups Can Get Free Ration under New Rules

Recently, the Government of India introduced a new rule for ration card holders. If you have a ration card and receive benefits, it’s important to know about these changes.

The government distributes free ration to cardholders at fair price shops, such as wheat and rice. However, a change has been made in how these rations are provided. Let’s look at the details.

Changes in the Quantity of Ration

Under the new rule, the quantity of wheat and rice given to ration card holders has changed.

Previously, people received more rice than wheat, but now the amount of rice has been reduced.

The new system, effective from November 1, ensures that both wheat and rice will be provided in equal quantities.

For example, if you were getting 3 kg of rice and 2 kg of wheat per person, the new distribution will be 2.5 kg of rice and 2.5 kg of wheat per person.

Completing Ration Card E-KYC

To continue receiving benefits from the ration card, you must complete the Ration Card E KYC process. The government has set a deadline of December 31 to complete this process.

How to Complete Ration Card E-KYC Online

Follow these steps to complete your Ration Card e-KYC online:

Under the new rule, ration card holders will receive wheat and rice in equal amounts.
