A new update is coming soon for many smartphones from Vivo and iQOO.
Vivo has officially announced the latest version of its custom user interface, OriginOS 5, which is based on Android 5.
Although the official beta rollout hasn’t begun yet, it’s expected to start next month. Let’s explore the exciting features and find out which devices will be eligible for this update.
Key Features of OriginOS 5
According to Vivo, the OriginOS 5 update brings several performance improvements. These include:
15% faster app launches
30% faster app switching
26% reduction in CPU power consumption
The update also features intelligent resource allocation, ensuring GPU and RAM power are used where they’re needed most to keep foreground apps running smoothly.
AI Assistant “Little V”
The most notable feature of OriginOS 5 is its AI assistant, “Blue Heart Little V.” T
his assistant offers a “circle to search” feature, allowing users to circle items on the screen and receive related search results and recommendations.
Little V also helps with organizing content. Users can create virtual clipboards to store photos, videos, articles,
and links, which are then arranged into “memory fragments” based on your activities.
It can even curate highlight reels for photos and videos, adding music and lyrics to match the mood.
Another exciting feature is the “dynamic island” pop-up cards, which show up at the top of the screen when you copy text, linking it to relevant actions through Little V’s AI.
Little V can also assist with communication by writing and rewriting messages, handling calls in multiple languages, and summarizing conversations in the Atom Notes app.
Additionally, it can interpret sign language and translate it using a virtual human avatar, making it a great tool for assisting the visually impaired and people with disabilities.
Matter Protocol Support and Smart Home Integration
The update also brings Matter protocol support, allowing OriginOS 5 to act as a smart home hub. Y
ou can control smart devices like lights and air conditioners from the Control Center. Little V extends beyond the phone and can be used on Windows, Mac, and online platforms as well.
