New Features in DigiLocker with UMANG App Integration

The DigiLocker app has received new features thanks to its integration with the UMANG app.

The Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) announced that users will now have access to various government services along with personal

and official documents through the app. Currently, the UMANG app integration in DigiLocker is only available for Android users, but it will be extended to iOS users in the near future.

Access to Multiple Services on One Platform

The National e-Governance Division provided information about this integration, explaining that users can access a variety of services like Aadhaar, PAN, EPFO, certificates, pension, utility bills, health,

and travel, all on one platform. However, at this time, the service is only available to Android users, as it has not yet been rolled out for iOS devices.

How to Enable UMANG Integration in DigiLocker

If you are an Android user and want to use the UMANG app in DigiLocker, follow these steps:

1) Update your DigiLocker app to the latest version.

2) Open the DigiLocker app on your Android device.

3) Tap on the UMANG icon in the app.

4) When prompted, install the UMANG app from the Google Play Store.

What is DigiLocker?

DigiLocker is a virtual locker that allows you to store documents online securely. You can store important documents like your PAN card, voter ID, passport,

and other government certificates in DigiLocker. To create a DigiLocker account, you must have an Aadhaar card.

Government Services Easily

The National e-Governance Division shared details about the UMANG app integration in DigiLocker.

This new feature allows users to access several services, including Aadhaar, PAN, EPFO, certificates, pensions, utility services, health information,

and travel details all in one place. At the moment, only Android users can use these services, as they are not yet available on the iOS platform.
