Maruti Suzuki unveils e-Vitara at India Mobility Global Expo 2025

Maruti Suzuki has launched its electric car, the e-Vitara, at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025.

This fully electric SUV is not related to any other ICE models, including the Grand Vitara, despite sharing the name.

The e-Vitara is based on the production version of the eVX concept, which was previously showcased in India.

The Maruti e-Vitara will be manufactured at Suzuki Motor Gujarat and is expected to compete with electric models like the Hyundai Creta Electric, MG Windsor EV, Tata Nexon EV, and Curve. The full launch of the e-Vitara is scheduled for March.

Design and Features

The e-Vitara has a distinct design compared to the Grand Vitara. Built on the Heartect E-platform, it features sharp DRLs and a blanked-off grille.

The top variant comes with 19-inch alloy wheels, while the standard variant has 18-inch wheels.

Interestingly, it also features door handles similar to those of the older Swift model.

Battery and Performance

The Maruti e-Vitara comes with two motor options. The dual-motor version features a 61 kWh battery, offering 180 bhp of power and 300 Nm of torque.

The standard version, equipped with a single front motor, has a 49 kWh battery that delivers 142 bhp and 189 Nm of torque. Both versions are equipped with a substantial battery pack.

Interior and Technology

Inside, the e-Vitara will feature a packed cabin, including Level 2 ADAS, a dual dashboard screen, wireless charger, automatic climate control, ventilated front seats, cruise control, and a 360-degree camera.
