LPG Price Cut: Govt Announces Cheaper Cylinders Ahead of Budget (New Gas Prices)

The Modi government has delivered good news to the public before the budget by reducing the price of 19 kg commercial LPG cylinders by Rs 30.

However, the prices of 14.2 kg domestic cylinders remain unchanged. According to the Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL) website, these new rates are effective from July 1, 2024.

New Gas Prices Effective July 1, 2024

Today, on the first day of July, oil marketing companies have adjusted the prices of LPG cylinders.

The price of a 19 kg commercial cylinder has been reduced by Rs 30, making it Rs 1646 in Delhi, Rs 1756 in Kolkata, Rs 1598 in Mumbai, and Rs 1809 in Chennai.

Unchanged Domestic Cylinder Prices

There is no change in the price of the 14.2 kg domestic gas cylinder. The prices remain Rs 803 in Delhi, Rs 829 in Kolkata, Rs 802.50 in Mumbai, and Rs 818.50 in Chennai. For Ujjwala beneficiaries, the price in Delhi is Rs 603.

Previous Rates

On June 1, the price of a 19 kg commercial cylinder was reduced by Rs 72. At that time, the prices were Rs 1676 in Delhi, Rs 1787 in Kolkata, Rs 1695 in Mumbai, and Rs 1629 in Chennai. Now, in July, the price has been further reduced by Rs 30.

Commercial Cylinder Price on May 1

On May 1, oil marketing companies had reduced the price of a 19 kg commercial cylinder by Rs 19.

The prices were Rs 1745.50 in Delhi, Rs 1859 in Kolkata, Rs 1698.50 in Mumbai, and Rs 1911 in Chennai.
