Reliance Jio, the country’s leading telecom company, has recently launched voice calling and SMS-only plans in line with TRAI’s guidelines.
Initially, there were reports stating that data vouchers could not be used with these new plans.
However, the editor of Telecom Talk clarified through a tweet that Jio users will be able to recharge with data packs alongside their voice
and SMS plans, but data booster plans will not be compatible with these new voice plans.
Data Plans that Work with Voice and SMS Plans
The following Jio data packs can be used with the new voice calling and SMS plans:

Rs 19 data pack
Rs 29 data pack
Rs 49 data pack
Rs 175 data pack
Rs 219 data pack
Rs 289 data pack
Rs 359 data pack
These plans will work alongside voice and SMS plans, allowing users to have both data and voice services.
Data Booster Plans that Won’t Work with Voice Plans
Jio’s data booster plans priced at Rs 69 and Rs 139 will not be available for use with the voice and SMS-only plans.

Rs 11 Pack: This plan gives 10GB of data with a validity of 1 hour, provided the user already has an active base plan. It’s perfect for quick data use.

Rs 175 Pack: With a validity of 28 days, this plan provides 10GB of data and access to JioTV Premium, allowing users to stream content from 10 OTT platforms, including SonyLIV and ZEE5.
Rs 219 Pack: This plan offers 30GB of data with a 30-day validity, perfect for users needing more data for a month.
Rs 289 Pack: Providing 40GB of data for a validity of 30 days, this plan is ideal for heavy data users.
Rs 359 Pack: Offering 50GB of data for 30 days, this is the highest data pack in this range, catering to users who need large amounts of data.
