Jio has introduced new long-term OTT passes for customers who love watching movies, web series, live sports and TV shows.
The company has added two new OTT passes — an 84-day plan for ₹550 and a 365-day plan for ₹2,000.
The existing ₹200 OTT pass remains available with 28 days of validity.
All three passes come with high-speed data, unlimited 5G, 15 premium OTT apps and more than 1,000 live TV channels on JioTV.
However, there is an important condition: customers must have an eligible active Jio base plan.
Voice-only recharge plans are not eligible for these OTT passes.
Jio Customers Can Save Up to ₹400
The new long-term passes can help customers save money compared with repeatedly buying the 28-day pass.
Earlier, three ₹200 passes were needed to get 84 days of OTT benefits, costing ₹600 in total. With the new 84-day pass, customers pay only ₹550.
That means a direct saving of ₹50.
The yearly pass offers an even bigger saving.
Buying the ₹200 pass repeatedly for a year would cost around ₹2,400, while the new annual pass costs ₹2,000.
Customers can therefore save ₹400 with the yearly option.
The data allowance also increases with the longer validity period:
₹200 pass: 30GB high-speed data
₹550 pass: 90GB high-speed data
₹2,000 pass: 365GB high-speed data
What OTT Apps Are Included?
Jio’s OTT bundle includes several popular entertainment platforms.
Customers can get access to services such as YouTube Premium, JioHotstar Mobile and Amazon Prime.
The ₹550 and ₹2,000 passes include Amazon Prime Lite, while the ₹200 pass offers Amazon Prime Video Mobile Edition.
Other included platforms include SonyLIV, ZEE5, Lionsgate Play, Discovery+, SunNXT, FanCode, Hoichoi, Chaupal, Planet Marathi, Kancha Lannaka, Timesplay and Tarang Plus.
This means users can access a wide range of movies, web series, sports and other entertainment content through one OTT bundle.
Watch More Than 1,000 Live TV Channels
The entertainment benefits don’t stop with OTT apps.
Jio Pass customers also get access to more than 1,000 live TV channels through JioTV.
The channel lineup includes popular options such as Star Plus HD, Colors HD, SET HD, Sun TV HD, Discovery and Cartoon Network.
According to Jio, the overall entertainment benefits included in the package are worth more than ₹1,500 per month.
Who Can Buy the New Jio OTT Passes?
There are some important eligibility conditions to remember.
The ₹550 OTT pass is available to customers with an active 84-day base plan or an eligible one-year Jio recharge.
The ₹2,000 annual pass is available only to customers with an eligible one-year Jio recharge.
Customers using voice-only recharge plans cannot purchase these OTT passes.
The new ₹550 and ₹2,000 passes are available from August 7 through the MyJio app, Jio’s website and authorised retail outlets.
For customers who regularly use OTT services, watch live TV and need additional high-speed data, these long-term passes could be a more convenient and cost-effective option than repeatedly purchasing shorter passes.
