Reliance Jio has raised the price of its most affordable postpaid plan by 50%. The Rs 199 plan, which was previously available to select users, has now been increased to Rs 299.
New users are required to select a plan starting at Rs 349, while current users of the Rs 199 plan will automatically be moved to the new Rs 299 plan on January 23.
Existing users will automatically be moved to the new Rs 299 plan on January 23. This change means the cheapest available postpaid plan is now Rs 299.
Benefits of the New Rs 299 Plan
The Rs 299 postpaid plan offers the same benefits as the previous Rs 199 plan. Users will receive 25GB of 4G data for the entire month.
After exhausting this data, users will need to pay Rs 20 per extra GB. Unlimited voice calls to all networks are also included.
For users who consume over 500GB of data, the rate increases to Rs 50 per additional GB. Additionally, each SMS will cost Rs 1.
Why Consider the Rs 349 Plan?
If you’re currently using the Rs 199 plan, you’ll automatically be upgraded to the Rs 299 plan.
However, it might be a better option to switch to the Rs 349 plan. This plan offers unlimited 5G data for eligible users, along with unlimited calling and 100 SMS daily.
