If you prefer budget phones, there’s a new option for you. Itel has launched the affordable itel A80 in India.
The phone features a 6.67-inch punch-hole display with a 120Hz refresh rate and a dynamic bar for live alerts, a feature common in all itel smartphones.
The device is 8.54 mm thick, includes a side-mounted fingerprint sensor, is IP54-rated for water resistance, and comes in three colors: Glacier White, Wave Blue, and Sandstone Black.
The itel A80 is powered by a Unisoc T603 octa-core processor, paired with 8GB RAM (4GB built-in plus 4GB RAM expansion) and 128GB internal storage.
It features a 3-card slot, allowing users to expand the memory up to 2TB.
The company claims that this setup will provide smooth performance for up to three years.
Camera Setup and Battery
The phone’s camera setup is impressive. It features a 50MP rear camera with a flash and ring light notification.
For selfies and video calls, it has an 8MP front camera. The device is equipped with a 5000mAh battery with Type-C charging.
The company claims that a full charge lasts up to three days of regular use, and even with heavy use, it can last 1-2 days. The battery is expected to last over four years.
Price and Availability
The phone runs on itel OS 14, which is based on Android 14 Go. It offers features such as a landscape display clock widget for charging in landscape mode and Ultra Power Saving Mode to extend battery life.
Additionally, the device includes Smart Link+ for improved signal stability, reducing network latency by up to 20%.
The itel A80 is priced at Rs 6,999 and is available in offline retail stores in India, with a free screen replacement offer within 100 days. Online availability has not been announced yet.
