IndiGo, the country’s largest airline, is set to launch ‘business class’ services on busy air routes this year, as announced in a recent statement.

Announcement Details Await August Revelation

The airline disclosed its plans to introduce these services but has deferred unveiling specific details such as the inauguration date, routes, and related information.

Further announcements are expected around the company’s 18th anniversary in August.

Strong Financial Performance

In its quarterly results presentation, IndiGo Airlines reported robust financial performance.

The company’s consolidated profit for the fourth quarter amounted to Rs 1,895 crore, marking a significant 100 percent increase from the previous year’s Rs 919 crore earned in March 2023.

Initial estimates projected a fourth-quarter profit of Rs 1310 crore.

Surge in Income

IndiGo’s consolidated income for the fourth quarter also saw a substantial rise, increasing by approximately 26 percent to Rs 17,825 crore.

The airline’s EBITDAR stood at Rs 4,412 crore, with a margin of 20.9 percent.
