Traveling by train is usually the easiest option in India, but this time passengers on Rajasthan routes need to be extra careful.

Indian Railways has announced major changes, including train cancellations and route diversions, which could affect your journey plans.

Why Are Trains Being Cancelled?

The disruption is due to important infrastructure work by North Western Railway.

Work is underway to upgrade the rail line between Churu and Sadulpur with double tracking and automatic signaling.

Because of this, train services on this route will remain affected from April 15 to April 30.

During this period, around 14 trains have been cancelled, and several others have been diverted.

The disruption is expected to last about 15 days.

Major Train Cancellations You Should Know

Many passenger and express trains passing through the Churu–Sadulpur route will not run during this time.

Some key cancellations include:

Rewari–Bikaner passenger train: Cancelled from April 15 to 30

Hisar–Rewari passenger trains: Cancelled from April 15 to 29

Hanumangarh–Jaipur train: Cancelled from April 15 to 28

Bikaner–Hisar passenger train: Cancelled from April 14 to 29

In addition, some trains will run only on partial routes, meaning they will stop before reaching their final destination.

Routes Changed for Several Trains

Apart from cancellations, many trains will run on alternate routes.

For example:

The Salasar Superfast Express will run via Rewari–Ringas–Phulera–Degana between April 15 and 28

The Bikaner Howrah Superfast Express will take a different route via Jaipur and Rewari from April 16 to 23

The Barmer Howrah Express will operate on a diverted route on April 25

The Delhi Jodhpur Express will also run on an alternate route between April 25 and 27

Some trains may also experience delays.

For instance, the Bikaner Delhi Cantt Vande Bharat Express will run about 90 minutes late from April 16 to 26.

What Travelers Should Do

If you are planning to travel on these routes between April 15 and April 30, make sure to check your train status before leaving.

Cancellations, diversions, and delays can affect your journey, so staying updated is important.

Booking alternatives or planning ahead can help avoid last-minute trouble.

Final Take

These changes may cause inconvenience in the short term, but they are part of long-term improvements in railway infrastructure.

Once the work is complete, passengers can expect smoother, faster, and more efficient train travel on these routes.
