Hubballi Chennai Direct Flights will resume on October 27, 2026, giving passengers from North Karnataka a convenient way to reach Tamil Nadu’s capital without changing planes at another airport.
IndiGo will operate the service three days a week, offering a new option for business travellers, students, tourists and people travelling for medical treatment.
The return of this route is expected to make travel between the two cities more convenient.
Union Minister Pralhad Joshi announced the development, thanking Civil Aviation Minister K. Ram Mohan Naidu and IndiGo for supporting the resumption of the service.
Hubballi Chennai Direct Flights: Schedule and Timings
IndiGo will operate flight 6E 7368 from Hubballi to Chennai on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays, beginning October 27.
The aircraft is scheduled to depart Hubballi at 4:25 PM and arrive in Chennai at 6:05 PM.
The return service, flight 6E 7369, will depart Chennai at 6:35 PM and reach Hubballi at 8:20 PM.
These timings will give passengers a direct connection between the two cities without requiring a change of aircraft at another airport.
Travellers should check the latest schedule and ticket availability before planning their journeys, as flight timings and operating arrangements may change.
Why the Direct Flight Matters for North Karnataka
Hubballi is an important travel centre for North Karnataka, and direct air connectivity can make journeys to major cities more convenient.
Chennai attracts passengers from the region for work, higher education, medical treatment and tourism.
Without a direct flight, travellers may need to consider connecting flights through other cities or choose longer journeys by train or road.
The restored service offers another option, particularly for passengers who need to reach Chennai within a limited time.
Business travellers may benefit from easier access to meetings and commercial activities, while students and families can have an additional travel option when visiting educational institutions or relatives.
People travelling for medical appointments may also find a direct connection useful for planning their trips.
IndiGo Flight Service to Operate Three Days a Week
The service will initially operate three days each week: Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday.
Passengers can use these scheduled departures to plan visits, subject to seat availability and the airline’s published timetable.
The flight timings allow passengers to reach Chennai in the early evening, while the return service is scheduled to arrive in Hubballi later that evening.
The direct route removes the need for an intermediate flight connection, although the overall convenience will depend on individual travel plans and airport procedures.
Passengers should confirm the fare, baggage allowance, cancellation conditions and other booking terms before purchasing tickets.
The availability of seats and final prices may vary according to the travel date and demand.
What Travellers Should Know Before Booking
The resumption of Hubballi–Chennai flights is a useful addition to regional connectivity, but travellers should verify the service details before making related arrangements.
Flight operations may be affected by schedule changes, so checking the latest information through IndiGo’s official booking channels is advisable.
Passengers travelling for medical treatment, education or business should also consider their onward transport arrangements from Chennai airport.
Planning airport transfers and allowing sufficient time for appointments can help make the journey smoother.
For people in Hubballi and surrounding areas, the restored connection creates another way to reach Chennai directly.
From October 27, the Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday schedule is expected to provide greater flexibility for those travelling between North Karnataka and Tamil Nadu.
