EPFO subscribers can now access a wide range of services online through the Umang app. To use these services, it is important to complete the e-nomination process.
EPFO has been making efforts to digitize its services, allowing users to easily manage their accounts online via the EPFO member portal or the Umang app.
However, certain conditions must be met to use withdrawal-related services.
Downloading and Using the Umang App
To access your EPF account balance or track withdrawal requests, you need to download the Umang app from Google Play.
After installing the app, log in using your Aadhaar number and password. Once signed in, you can access various services provided by EPFO through the app.
Step-by-Step Guide to Using EPFO Services
After logging into the app, select the ‘EPFO’ option from the list of available services.
If you wish to withdraw funds from your EPF account, choose the ‘Raise Claim’ option.
Enter your UAN (Universal Account Number) and wait for the OTP to be sent to your registered mobile number.
Select the type of withdrawal, fill in the required details, and submit the request. You will receive an acknowledgment number after submission.
Services You Can Access on the Umang App
Subscribers can use their UAN to avail a variety of services through the Umang app. These include:
KYC updates
Checking the passbook
Generating a Jeevan Pramaan certificate
Downloading and tracking the PPO (Pension Payment Order)
Filing and tracking complaints
Viewing balance and raising claims for withdrawals.
