Eligibility Criteria for PMAY

4) No one in the family should be employed in government service.
5) The family should not own a four-wheeler.
Who is Not Eligible for PMAY?
Some families cannot apply for this scheme. These include:
1) Families that already have a pucca house or plot.
2) Families whose monthly income is above ₹15,000.
3) Families with government employees.
4) Families that own a four-wheeler.
5) Families that pay income tax.

How to Apply for PMAY
There are two ways to apply for PMAY:
Online Application Process (for urban areas):
1) Visit the official website: https://pmaymis.gov.in.
2) Click on “Apply for PMAY-U 2.0” on the homepage.
3) Fill out the application form and upload required documents.
4) After submission, download the application receipt.
Offline Application Process (for rural areas):
1) Visit the nearest Panchayat or Block office.
2) Obtain the application form and fill it out.
3) Attach all required documents and submit the form.
4) Receive the application receipt.
Financial Assistance under PMAY
The financial assistance provided under PMAY is transferred in three installments:
First Installment: ₹40,000 after approval of the application.
Second Installment: ₹40,000 based on construction progress.
Third Installment: ₹40,000 upon completion of the house.
