EPFO WhatsApp Channel offers members a direct way to receive important information about their Provident Fund accounts.
The Employees’ Provident Fund Organisation has urged members to follow its official WhatsApp channel for updates on rules, schemes and other announcements.
EPFO WhatsApp Channel Gives PF Updates
The official EPFO WhatsApp channel provides updates on several important PF-related matters.
These include Universal Account Number guidelines, KYC updates, the Employees Enrollment Campaign 2026 and the Amnesty Scheme 2026.
Members can also get information about changes in PF rules and grievance redressal guidelines through the channel. Since the updates come directly from EPFO, members can avoid relying on third-party apps or unverified information.
How to Follow the EPFO WhatsApp Channel
To follow the channel, users need to open WhatsApp and go to the Updates section. They can then tap Explore next to the Channels option and search for EPFO.
Users should select the official EPFO channel with the blue tick and tap the Follow button. This allows them to receive updates directly on WhatsApp.
EPFO WhatsApp Helpline Available in 138 Offices
Apart from the channel, EPFO also operates a dedicated WhatsApp helpline facility through all 138 regional offices. A dedicated team in each office aims to respond to members’ complaints and queries within 24 hours.
The helpline can be used for issues such as delays or rejection of PF withdrawal claims, PF transfer problems, non-deposit of PF contributions by employers and KYC correction or profile update issues.
According to EPFO data, more than 3.94 lakh complaints have been received through the helpline, of which more than 3.91 lakh complaints have been resolved.
WhatsApp Channel Is Not for Online Claims
Members should remember that the WhatsApp channel is meant for news and information, while regional WhatsApp helplines are intended to provide guidance on complaints.
For submitting claims online, checking claim status or downloading the PF passbook, members still need to use the EPFO member portal or UMANG app.
EPFO also advises members to be careful about fake WhatsApp groups and cyber fraud. Users should follow only the official EPFO channel with a blue tick and never share their UAN, password, Aadhaar or OTP with unknown numbers.
Regional helpline numbers should also be obtained only from official EPFO sources.
