People traveling to Jewar Airport will soon get a cheaper and more convenient travel option.
A new electric bus service is set to begin from June 15, offering affordable fares and improved connectivity between Noida and the airport.
Reach Jewar Airport for Only ₹50
One of the biggest highlights of this new service is its low ticket price. Officials have announced that bus fares will start from just ₹10, while the maximum fare will be ₹50.
Passengers traveling directly from Noida’s Botanical Garden to Jewar Airport will only need to pay ₹50. The buses will operate through the Noida-Greater Noida Expressway, making the journey smooth and convenient.
New Charging Infrastructure for Electric Buses
To support the electric bus fleet, a modern charging facility is being developed at the Sector 90 depot.
Under a public-private partnership (PPP) model, 20 charging stations will be installed, allowing up to 40 buses to be charged at the same time.
An electric bus will take around one hour to fully charge and can then travel nearly 200 kilometers. In the first phase, five charging points are being set up, which will be able to charge 10 buses simultaneously.
Charging Stations Also Planned at Botanical Garden
Apart from the Sector 90 depot, four charging stations will also be built at Botanical Garden in Sector 38A. These facilities will be able to charge up to eight buses at once.
The project will also include dormitory facilities for drivers and conductors, ensuring better operational support for the service.
The launch of these electric buses will not only provide passengers with a budget-friendly and comfortable travel option but will also help reduce pollution.
Starting from June 15, the service is expected to be especially beneficial for people who regularly travel to Jewar Airport, Delhi, or Ghaziabad.
