Diwali 2023: Buy Digital Gold Starting at just Rs 10 (See How)

Diwalis, a day celebrated for its auspicious significance, traditionally involves buying gold in India.

If you aspire to own gold this Diwali but have budget constraints, worry not!

You can still participate in this age-old tradition by investing in digital gold, available through platforms like Paytm and Google Pay.

Here’s how you can do it.

How to Purchase Digital Gold

1) Open the Paytm app and navigate to the homepage. Use the search bar to look for “Gold.”

2) Click on the “Gold” icon when it appears. You’ll be directed to the Paytm Gold page, where the current gold prices will be displayed.

3) You can buy digital gold for as little as Rs 1.04, and you have the flexibility to choose the quantity or weight of gold.

4) If you enter the desired amount, the weight of gold will be displayed. Conversely, if you specify the weight, the corresponding amount will be shown.

You can follow similar steps on other apps to purchase digital gold.

Investing with as Little as Rs 10

For instance, if you invest Rs 10 in digital gold via Paytm, you’ll receive 0.0003 grams of gold.

Be aware that a 3 percent GST is applicable on this purchase.

However, if you decide to invest Rs 1001, you’ll receive 0.1930 grams of gold in return, with the total amount, including the 3 percent GST, amounting to Rs 1,031.

Today’s Gold Rates

It’s worth noting that gold prices have seen a decline in the run-up to Dhanteras and Diwali this week.

On the second day of this festive week, the rates for 22 and 24-carat gold have dropped by Rs 100 to Rs 150.

As of now, the gold rate in the Delhi NCR region stands at Rs 61,500.
