Delhi residents now have one more reason to step out for a morning walk.

The Delhi Development Authority (DDA) has announced free entry in several major parks and heritage parks till 10 am.

The decision has been taken under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s Fit India Movement.

The aim is to encourage more people to exercise, walk, jog, and spend time outdoors without worrying about entry fees.

This move was taken on the instructions of Delhi LG and DDA Chairman Taranjit Singh Sandhu.

Morning Walkers and Fitness Lovers Will Benefit

Till now, visitors had to pay entry fees in many popular DDA parks.

The charges usually ranged between ₹20 and ₹50.

Now, people visiting these parks before 10 am will not have to pay anything.

This is expected to increase the number of visitors, especially senior citizens, fitness enthusiasts, and families.

People who regularly go for yoga, jogging, or exercise can now use these parks freely during morning hours.

Which DDA Parks Will Offer Free Entry?

Several popular parks across Delhi are included in this decision. These include:

Mehrauli Archaeological Park

Bansera

Asita Park

Kranti Udyan

Atal Sadbhavna Park

Vasudev Park

Vaishnavi Park

Amrit Biodiversity Park

Lala Hardayal Park

Smriti Van

These parks are known for their greenery, open spaces, and peaceful environment.

Why Was This Decision Important?

In recent years, many people had protested against entry fees in DDA parks.

Residents said that parks were earlier being used like community parks but later became chargeable.

In places like Dwarka and Vasudev Park, locals had raised concerns over paying fees despite limited improvements in facilities.

Many people also claimed that the number of visitors reduced after the charges were introduced.

With free entry till 10 am, DDA now hopes more people will return to parks for daily fitness activities.

Entry Fee Rules After 10 AM

Free entry will only be available till 10 am. After that, normal charges may apply in selected parks.

Entry Charges After 10 AM
