DA Hike: Sikkim Government Employees to Receive 4% Raise Before Dussehra

Sikkim’s government employees are in for some good news as Chief Minister Prem Singh Tamang has announced a 4% increase in their Dearness Allowance (DA).

This raise, effective from January 2023, brings the total DA to 42%.

The outstanding DA arrears will be paid out before the upcoming Dussehra festival.

Additionally, Chief Minister Tamang has also declared the implementation of the ‘One Rank One Pension’ policy

and reassured government employees that the old pension scheme in Sikkim will be reinstated soon.

As for central government employees, they too await their DA for the second half of the year, with an expected 3% increase.

A similar 3% hike in dearness relief for pensioners is also anticipated. The announcement is likely to come before the Dussehra festivities.
