Key Announcements for Employment and Skills
In her speech, the Finance Minister highlighted the government’s focus on employment and skills.
She announced that the government will provide additional Provident Fund (PF) benefits to people joining the workforce for the first time.
The government will deposit Rs 15,000 into their PF accounts.
This benefit is expected to help 30 lakh youth.
New Schemes to Promote Employment
The government will launch three new schemes to boost employment, including the PF benefit.
These schemes aim to create more jobs and enhance skills among the youth.
Additionally, the government plans to support the manufacturing sector by reimbursing companies Rs 3,000 per new employee each month for two years.
This initiative is expected to benefit 50 lakh people.
Support for Working Women
The Finance Minister also announced plans to build hostels for working women across the country.
This initiative aims to encourage more women to join the workforce by providing safe and convenient accommodation.
