BSNL has officially launched its Quantum 5G (Q-5G) service in Hyderabad, entering the high-speed internet space to compete with private players like Jio and Airtel. The new service offers two plans:
₹999 for 100 Mbps
₹1,499 for 300 Mbps
What makes it different is that it does not require a SIM card or any wiring.
What is BSNL Q-5G FWA?
Q-5G uses a Fixed Wireless Access (FWA) system designed especially for Tier-2 and Tier-3 cities, where fiber internet is still limited.
It aims to provide fast and reliable internet to homes, offices, and small businesses in less-connected areas.
Key Features:
Developed entirely in India
Devices made locally
No SIM card or cable needed
Easy plug-and-play setup
Upcoming Cities for Q-5G Launch
After Hyderabad, BSNL plans to introduce its Q-5G FWA service in:
Bengaluru
Visakhapatnam
Pune
Chandigarh
Gwalior
These cities, especially their suburban and rural areas, could benefit the most thanks to BSNL’s existing local network reach.
How It Works Without SIM or Cables
The service uses special indoor routers that connect wirelessly to BSNL’s 5G towers. This means users don’t need:
SIM cards
Fiber optic cables
A technician for installation
Just plug in the device, and it’s ready to use within minutes.
Why Q-5G is Important
BSNL’s Q-5G can play a big role in improving internet access across India, especially for:
Remote offices
Small towns and rural homes
Home-based businesses
Schools and government offices
With affordable pricing and easy setup, Q-5G could help bring high-speed internet to areas that fiber connections haven’t reached yet.
