BSNL has begun phasing out its 3G network across India. The government telecom company is upgrading its 3G towers to 4G and also installing new towers.
Recently, 3G services were discontinued in Bihar, and the company is phasing it out in other regions as well. Users will now have access to 4G connectivity instead of 3G.
Those who haven’t upgraded their SIM cards to 4G can get a new SIM for free at the nearest telecom exchange or customer service center.
BSNL’s improved network connectivity is expected to attract users from private telecom companies, benefiting millions of mobile users across the country.
The government telecom company offers recharge plans that are significantly cheaper than those of Jio, Airtel, and Vi, helping users save money.
Last year, the MD of BSNL confirmed that the company would not increase its mobile tariffs for the time being. As a result, users can enjoy better connectivity at a more affordable price.
