If lifting heavy LPG cylinders is a hassle, BPCL has good news for you.
Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited (BPCL) has launched Bharatgas Lite ZIP, a new premium LPG service that offers lightweight composite cylinders, faster new connections, and express gas delivery.
The company says the service is designed for today’s fast-paced lifestyle, helping customers get gas connections and cylinder deliveries without long waiting times.
Service to Expand to 100 Cities by August 15
BPCL has launched Bharatgas Lite ZIP in Mumbai and plans to expand it to 100 cities across 24 states by August 15, 2026. This means millions of customers are expected to get access to the new service in the coming weeks.
The service was launched by BPCL Chairman and Managing Director Sanjay Khanna, along with Marketing Director Subhankar Sen.
Lightweight Cylinder with Smart Features
The biggest attraction of Bharatgas Lite ZIP is its Lite Composite Cylinder. Unlike traditional steel cylinders, it is much lighter, making it easier for anyone in the family to carry or move.
The cylinder is also rust-resistant, which increases its durability.
Its transparent body allows users to check the remaining gas level without any extra device. BPCL says the cylinder also comes with enhanced safety features and a modern design.
Competition in Premium LPG Services Is Growing
BPCL’s launch comes at a time when government-owned oil companies are introducing new services to improve customer convenience.
Recently, HPCL partnered with Swiggy Instamart to offer on-demand LPG cylinder delivery. The company also introduced its own lightweight composite cylinder, HP Navya, starting in Bengaluru.
One of its key features is that customers can order a new cylinder even without an existing gas connection. Identity verification is completed during the first order, while future orders are treated as regular refills.
What This Means for Customers
Industry experts believe these new services show that public sector oil companies are focusing more on technology, digital services, and better customer experiences.
Lightweight cylinders and faster deliveries are expected to be especially useful for small families, people living in rented homes, students, and working professionals who value convenience.
BPCL says Bharatgas Lite ZIP is more than just a new LPG cylinder. It is an effort to make LPG booking, delivery, and everyday usage simpler, safer, and more convenient.
If the service is successful across the country, it could change the way customers use LPG in the future.
