Previous Bomb Threats to IndiGo Flights
Earlier, there was a threat to blow up an IndiGo flight in Delhi. A note written on tissue paper was found in the toilet, stating, “Bomb explosion in 30 minutes.”
On May 28, there was a bomb threat to an IndiGo flight from Delhi to Varanasi. In response, 176 passengers were safely evacuated and six crew members were removed from duty.
The threat was later found to be false, but passengers were evacuated using emergency slides at Delhi airport.
A video clip that went viral on social media showed a pilot coming out of the plane through an emergency slide with luggage.
However, international standards prohibit passengers and crew from taking their luggage during an evacuation as it increases the evacuation time.
