Bank Holidays: Banks to remain closed for 14 Days in February (Check Full List)

The second month of the year, February, is about to begin, and this year it consists of 28 days.

The Reserve Bank of India, which regulates the country’s banks, has released a list of the days banks will remain closed in February.

You should be aware of this list so that you know the days banks will be closed in your city and can plan your banking work accordingly.

There are many festivals in February

February will have multiple bank holidays in states such as Andhra Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Karnataka, Uttar Pradesh, and Rajasthan.

Before heading to the bank for your personal or professional banking tasks, be sure to check the holiday schedule.

If the branch is closed, you can still manage many tasks through phone banking or net banking.

Banks will remain closed for a total of 14 days in February

List of Bank Holidays in February 2025

  • On Monday, February 3, banks in Agartala will remain closed for Saraswati Puja.
  • On Tuesday, February 11, banks in Chennai will be closed for Thai Poosam.
  • On Wednesday, February 12, banks in Shimla will be closed for Shri Ravidas Jayanti.
  • On Saturday, February 15, banks in Imphal will remain closed for Lui-Ngai-Ni.
  • On Wednesday, February 19, banks in Belapur, Mumbai, and Nagpur will be closed for Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Jayanti.
  • On Thursday, February 20, banks in Aizawl and Itanagar will remain closed for Statehood Day/State Day.
  • On Wednesday, February 26, due to Maha Shivaratri, banks will be closed in Ahmedabad, Aizawl, Bengaluru, Belapur, Bhopal, Bhubaneswar, Chandigarh, Dehradun, Hyderabad (Andhra Pradesh and Telangana), Jaipur, Jammu, Kanpur, Kochi, Lucknow, Mumbai, Nagpur, Raipur, Ranchi, Shimla, Srinagar, and Thiruvananthapuram.
  • On Friday, February 28, banks in Gangtok will remain closed for Losar.

Weekly Bank Holidays:

  • Banks will be closed on Sunday, 2nd February.
  • Banks will also be closed on the second Saturday (8th February) and Sunday (9th February).
  • Banks will be closed on Sunday, 16th February.
  • On Saturday, 22nd February (fourth Saturday), and Sunday, 23rd February, banks will be closed.
