Amul, a leading dairy brand in Gujarat, has announced a price cut for its major milk products.
The price of 1-liter pouches of Amul Gold, Amul Fresh, and Amul Tea Special has been reduced by Rs 1. This is the first time Amul has lowered milk prices after raising them in June 2024.

Reason for Amul’s Price Reduction
Although the company has not stated the exact reason for the price cut, experts believe it is aimed at offering relief to customers and tackling growing market competition.

Business Growth
According to a PTI report, GCMMF’s turnover grew by 8% to Rs 59,445 crore in FY 2023-24.
Mehta mentioned that the cooperative expects double-digit revenue growth in FY 2024-25 due to strong demand.
In the previous financial year, GCMMF processed an average of 310 lakh liters of milk daily, with a total annual milk processing capacity of around 500 lakh liters.
Besides the domestic market, GCMMF exports milk products to approximately 50 countries.
