Air India Introduces In-Flight Wi-Fi Service for Passengers

To celebrate the New Year, Air India has announced a special gift for its passengers: the launch of in-flight Wi-Fi service on selected routes.

This service is available on Airbus A350, Boeing 787-9, and select Airbus A321 Neo aircraft operating on domestic routes.

Air India has become the first airline in India to offer in-flight Wi-Fi, enabling passengers to stay connected while traveling for leisure or business.

With this service, travelers can browse the internet, access social media, work online, or stay in touch with friends and family through messages.

Enhancing the Travel Experience

Rajesh Dogra, Chief Customer Experience Officer at Air India, emphasized the importance of connectivity in modern travel.

He stated that for some passengers, being online offers comfort and convenience, while for others, it boosts productivity and efficiency.

Dogra added, “We are confident that our guests will appreciate the option to connect to the web and enjoy the new Air India experience on these aircraft.”

Use Wi-Fi Across Multiple Devices

Air India also highlighted that passengers can use Wi-Fi on laptops, tablets, and smartphones simultaneously at an altitude of over 10,000 feet.

While this service has already been available on Air India’s international flights, it is now extended to domestic routes.

Currently, Air India is offering the in-flight Wi-Fi service free of cost.

The airline plans to gradually expand this service to other aircraft in its fleet, further enhancing the travel experience for passengers.
